Great bike but I paid $348 plus tax and now it's $124 not fair

After seeing the bike online I had to give it a try.  The nearest Walmart that I could get it from was 40 miles away but it was worth it.  I'm 5'9 so the 57cm from was way to big for me.  No problem since most of the parts on the bike were going away.  Before I even rode it I switched the stem to a much shorter stem, installed a carbon bars and seat post.  The shifters were fine but I installed some old Shimano 9 speed levers because of the extra gear and the fact that they had a shorter ramp for your hands to sit on.  The wheels were swapped for some 650b with a bigger gravel tire.  Rides as good as any of my more expensive bikes.

Great bike that I will be racing this summer.

I wanted to try a bike with drop bars. The value offered in this bike was unbeatable. You don't get disc brakes and brake shifters for about (Walmart price) $250. I am 5'8 and the bike, in its original form, felt a bit too big for me. I was barely able to clear the top tube when standing straight. First ride felt awkward, maybe I was not used to the "bend over" position (that is why I got the bike, in the first place) but after positioning the seat as forward as possible and changing to (the shortest possible?) a shorter stem the bike did feel much more manageable for me.

I also rotated the bars a few degrees upward but this was really for comfort for my wrists.

Had to spend some time adjusting the brakes (there was rubbing on both) and dialing in the gears, but this is done with all bikes, anyway. It's a good idea to go once-over with all the bolts and screws, too, just in case.

I thought I was going to need to install interrupter brake levels (a la cyclocross bikes) for the top bar, but after getting used to the position I don't think they are needed anymore. 

I installed a (cargo) bike rack and zip tied a milk crate to it to make it more practical (to go to the store and to store the lock/cable, helmet, gloves, sleeves, tool bag, etc), still the weight feels fine.

When I was looking at used/vintage road bikes, I was concern at how fragile their forks looked. The rides I take in the city meet quite a few speed bumps, broken pavement and pot holes, so the more robust fork of this bike made it appealing and reasonable.

All in all, I feel it was a good buy an a good entry point at trying/testing drop bars. Even the used/vintage road bikes (Schwinn, Fuji, Miyata, etc) from the 80s are going for more than this bike. For value, this can't be beat. And this forces all other (big box bike) makers to up their game.

Great entry point for drop bars

This is my first dropbar bike and has disc brakes so I took the risk. For $128 it was a steal. after unboxing, it was packed properly amd nothing was damaged or missing. I put everything together and did a 6 mile test ride. Shifting was good however there was a clicking sound when I pedal. when I'm on freewheel it stops so I guess it's the bottom bracket. The bike is an upgrade monster and my first one will be changing the 1x crankset. The brakes are crap so I also ordered a pair of better mech brakes. So far I am loving it. Size wise I'm at the limit of a small rider. I'd say 5'5".

Lets get to the point.

Took 3 hours to fully adjust, everything on it needed adjustment, bike feels very planted when riding. With aftermarket parts you can shave down more weight easy. 

There is 1mm wobble in front chainring/crank, coulnt get it 100% fixed, made dialing in shifting a problem. 

Going to keep it as a project bike. At this price point cant really go wrong, its very nice.

A good bike, but the break is hard to build, and the shifting isn't very good

Heavy, came with bent parts. front fork does not align with through pin properly. Front tire will not balance correctly

The bike looks well built and the finish seems to be very good. 
I unpacked carefully and put all parts aside with great care but, unfortunately there were two small parts missing and this meant that I could not complete assembling it. 
I suggest that Walmart considers delivering the front tyre pre-assembled from the factory so that the only parts to assemble are the pedals and the seat. This will make packing and transport a bit more expensive but it will lead to more happy customers.
I am deeply disappointed because it sounded like such a good bargain that I recommended it to many friends!"
I enlisted the help of an engineer friend who is an experienced rider but without all parts we simply could not complete the job.
The parts missing were:
1) Wheel retainer
2) One spring of front wheel axle
Unfortunately I will have to return it and go to my local Walmart to buy one assembled and ready to ride.

UNFORTUNATELY 2 SMALLPARTS WERE MISSING.

I'm still assembling this but initially thought the packing was a bit weird. now I can see that this was a return being sold off as new. some part are already assembled that I'm supposed to assemble. the front brake line is frayed despite this being brand new from the box. wouldn't buy from this company again.
