    The masks are Bona fide 3m and very comfortable. I still wear them for busy stores, etc. I prefer the ones with the white elastic bands but they are 3 times the cost of these—makes you wonder. These bands and thin and break easily. I replaced them with nicer elastic I had purchased for my cotton masks. But the shape of the masks makes them more breathable. I re-use them a few times since I only wear them for short periods of time.

    I’m a doctor and I’ve used all different brands and styles of N95/N99 masks. The ones that are comfortable are not doing their job, and the ones that are hard and thick are effective, but they are not comfortable. These masks are thick and provide a tight seal because of the adherent material, and because you can mold them to fit your face, and because they have 2 bands that fit around your head. But what really makes them special is that you don’t feel stifled; breathing is comfortable because the masks have a slight duckbill shape which provides a good-sized pocket to breathe. Obviously I don’t love wearing a mask, but when I need to for several hours (like on a long flight), this is the one that is comfortable and makes me feel safe.

    3M Aura Particulate Face Masks; pack 20; N95; white.
    I am a man, 6’ 1” tall, 170lb. My face/head would be considered more of the long, narrow type and usually home to a short beard and mustache. Throughout any given day I wear contacts/prescription glasses, sunglasses and/or safety glasses 99% of the time. I am not a robot, but sometimes wish I was (never trust a robot). Likewise, I am not paid by 3M although I wish I was.
    Like many, I have experienced my fair share of masks and there are a few key features that are absolutely necessary if one is to be donned for extended duration due to occupational necessity or government mandate. 3M’s Aura provides all these features making them my choice, my recommendation and my only written review.
    *Masks are NIOSH N95 Particulate Respirators which means they have been tested and confirmed to perform to a specific standard. It’s your responsibility to know and understand those standards and what they mean for protecting your health. It’s important to note that adding any prefix to the N95 designation automatically negates these standards. For example, a mask labeled “KN95” is not equal to, or an acceptable substitute for a N95 mask.
    *Straps that wrap around the head completely. These masks provide 2 reliable elastic straps that do not use your ears to hold itself securely to your face. There are no special pieces or additional accessories needed to extend the straps completely around the head and neck.
    *Each mask is Individually wrapped and sealed in plastic.
    *Metal strip of adequate length and fortitude combined with ergonomic design features and a foam gasket provides a leak free seal around the bridge of the nose and cheeks. NO STEAMED UP GLASSES. This may be the most important aspect of all.
    *This may sound a bit shallow, but these masks don’t make you look stupid. Not quite sure how else to say it. I only wish they made them in black.
    Other features include a chin tab for easy donning and adjustments which is nice particularly if you are sporting a beard or facial piercings. Also handy if you need to pull the mask down often, to speak for example. Each mask stores flat. They are deemed disposable, however at home or in the shop I will often reuse them within reason as they are certainly of sufficient quality to do so. No broken elastic straps or irreparably deformed metal nose strip.
    These masks work, and if you wear one long enough you will be able to see discoloration of the material (inside and out) caused by all of the crap being trapped within: a good indicator for any filter doing it’s job. Dig? Word.
    3M is an American company with a laundry list of awesome products derived from the creative ingenuity found nowhere else in the world. The 3M Aura mask is no exception. I take comfort and pride in that. Take my advise and spare yourself the foggy glasses. If you have to wear a mask 3M is the way to go.

    What we especially like about the 3M mask is that, in addition to the metal nose strip, there is a foam strip covering the metal strip. This makes the mask a lot more comfortable. We accidentally purchased a knock-off mask and it did not have the foam, it was not comfortable, and it cost twice as much.
    Buy the 3M. It is the best.

    I really like that these come folded flat and individually-wrapped, so they're easy to store and transport, and they almost can't be crushed before use. When you unfold them for use, they become cup-shaped. There is a strip of flat metal inside that forms to the shape of your nose, and the nose cushion appears to be made of closed-cell foam. (Open-cell foam leaks, in my experience.) These N-95's are far superior to KN-95's that I have tried because they fit snugly with straps around the head (not around the ears), and the mask seals well.

    The packaging, though - the seller included a written explanation as to why these didn't come in their original box, which is fine, but they weren't even fully enclosed in the packaging. (Their individual wrappers were intact, though.) Someone wrapped a sheet of clear plastic around them (not even a bag, as far as I could tell) and then tightly wound clear packing tape around everything, so I had to carefully cut them loose. Some of the masks were sticking out on one end of the packaging, but fortunately still in their individual wrappers. I'm a nurse working in patients' homes, and these are going into my work supplies bag where everything should be clean. Nothing really stays clean during shipping unless enclosed, but at least the masks themselves look fine.

    In case it helps anyone, here is a quick comparison of this model with a similar one. Based on previous purchases, the only difference I know of is in the straps; the masks themselves appear to be the same.
    * 9205+ (this model): stapled blue rubber band-type straps. They break sooner if you re-use the masks, but these straps fit me (5' 5" f) better. If you're not re-using them, breakage probably won't be a factor.
    * 9210+: stapled white elastic straps. If you re-use masks, these straps last longer, but they are a little on the snug side for me.

    I have been diligently wearing an N95 mask since the early days of the pandemic and used up my stock of a different brand. I thought I would give this 3M a try and WOW what a pleasant surprise. While it does smell at first when you take it out of the individual wrapper the smell dissipates quickly. I have a big head and this fit me perfectly - I do not understand people saying it is too small. You just stretch it up over your nose and pull the bottom under your chin and it forms a very comfortable seal all around. The best thing for me is once I got the flexible nose band formed over my nose and put my glasses on there was no fogging! Super comfortable fit, great seal and no fogging. And these are tough to boot. I was at the DMV for almost 2 hours and decided to throw that mask away. I pulled it as hard as I could (I had a hat on and did not want to take the hat off) and could barely break the elastic bands free to throw the mask in the trash. I will never buy another type of mask - these are simply perfect in every way in my opinion.

    Package arrived in good order PROS:-Well known manufacturer, 20 individually wrapped disposable N95 white face masks. CONS:-not held on with ear loops, so harder to wear at half mast if at indoor/outdoor activities. OUTCOME:-My Flu/Respiratory/Covid supplies basket still had a decent stock of medical masks but was down to its final N95. With winter on its way and since I still follow indoor masking it seemed prudent to restock.
