The war of the consoles is on! Will the Wii's motion sensing be king? Or the PS3's advanced hardware win? Or maybe 360's early head start will snag Microsoft the victory?

The PS3 will crush the Wii. However, the Wii has it's own advantages, targeting the younger audiences. This is how they have survived for so long.

I stand correct. At this point it seems Wii is taking over the popularity contest, and will soon outsell the 360.
Go Nintendo as they continue to dominate this round. And yes I'm leaving my orig post so everyone can see I was wrong :o

Has anyone had the chance to actually play the PS3 or Wii yet? People have been saying that since the PS3 controller has no rumble feature, that your hits don't feel like they hit anything. Like if you have a 15-ton hammer and you swing at a brick wall, you don't get the sensation of the hit.
I'm dying to try the Wii-mote. It might take a bit of getting used to, but its all worth it in the end. I'm sticking with Wii to the end!

I'd say the PS3. If people are so hyped up about it that they shoot and beat each other up for it, there's gotta be a reason. The amount of shipments they're sending out might be a disadvantage for them, however. :nono:

IMHO the 360 came out way too early in the race to provide competetion outside of the Microsoft fanbase. Between Wii and PS3 it'll be fairly close...Nintendo is becoming an increasingly child oriented company, whereas Sony gears it's products and marketing strategies for a more mature audience. Guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens =^.^=

i say the ps3 isnt that good because there aren't even enough games for it yet...
but the wii does get tiring for your arms....and its good exercise!

yea I'm with Konstar. The Wii looks cool and unique, but in a couple of weeks, you're going to get bored of it. I mean its not like a real video game console.

If the wii had graphics as good as the 360 or ps3, then it would be one heck of a machine, however it doesn't, which is an area where it will lose in. But gameplay wise, it does give us a new way to play video games. I mean video games are things we play in order to do things that we wouldn't even do in real life such as stealing cars in GTA or playing a professional sports game. I think the wii will be very successful, as for 360 and ps3, both platforms have practically the same games, except for certain titles like halo 3 or killzone, which make people buy the console just to play THAT game. The wii on the otherhand may have the same games, but it offers a new way of playing them.

Yeah, many crazed fan-boys just buy the console for ONE game. I've heard of people buying the Xbox 360 just for Halo 3. Or the PS3 for Devil May Cry 4, Final Fantasy XIII (its thirteen right? Too many to keep track of..), or Metal Gear Solid.

I'm more of a PC gamer at the moment though, so I don't play console games that much nowadays. It pains me to see my PS2 sitting on the desk untouched and neglected. Too bad Sony is focusing all their attention on the PS3 and they won't make many new games for the PS2 anymore.

Woot! Just played the Wii at my friend's house yesterday. And I have to say, the Wii didn't disappoint. Wii Sports is a great party game and is very fun. I like baseball and tennis the best. Didn't get to play boxing though. The Legend of Zelda was awesome! It did take a little time to get used to playing the game by moving the controller. I kept hitting the A and B button instead of doing the slashing motion. The only flaw I found while playing, is that you can just shake or swing the controller in random directions and Link would perform the same sword slashes. This also applies to Wii Sports. There's not a set motion for a specific action. Just wave the controller and you win!

Yes. The Playstation III seems to be a powerful rival to the Nintendo WII. However, it was a rushed system with low supply. Not too smart on Sony's behalf.

i want a wii...i shouldn't have sold the ones i had :( I thought supply would be up by now and it'd be easy to get one. oh well, it's probably better to not waste all my time on games, haha. oh yea, got a chance to play guitar hero this weekend, pretty fun, i like it!

Heres what I think...

Halo 3 is the only reason you should get a xbox360
Zelda is the only reason to get a Wii
and Final Fantasy is the only reason to get a ps3

Yep! FF8 and FFVIII are the same. The basic roman numerals are:
I -1
II - 2
III - 3
IV - 4
V - 5
VI - 6
VII - 7
VIII - 8
IX - 9
X - 10
XX - 20
Thent here is also L, C, M for 50/100/1000... I believe. I could be mistaken. I should check with Google. :playball:

We've changed a bunch of icons and buttons. We removed all of the Christmas-themed buttons and replaced them. It's now easier to see who is online based on the "green" or "white" chat bubble. :playball:

The Wii is great for exercise... Who needs the gym when you can lose calories while playing video games? :D
