**HOT** Nintendo Wii + $25 Amazon Gift Card $199.99 + Free ShippingLooks like Nintendo is preparing for the Christmas Season! This is currently big news, as the Nintendo Wii has finally dropped in price. Not only has it dropped $50, but Amazon is also offering Free Shipping, a Free $25 gift card, and no tax for certain states like California. I seriously contemplated getting one, but unfortunately I have no TV. Haven’t had one for over 7 years now.

Amazon has the Nintendo Wii + $25 gift certificate for $200 + Free Shipping.

Amazon Video Game Trade-In - Make Money from Amazon!

Thursday, April 23rd, 2009

(If you like this post, please Digg it! http://digg.com/gaming_news/How_To_Make_Money_Off_Amazon_And_Help_Best_Buy )
Begins 4/26/09 (Sunday).
1. Best Buy will be selling Xbox 360/PS3 games for $9.99
2. A few of the games have a higher trade-in value at Amazon.
3. You can buy the games new from Best Buy, then send them to Amazon as used trade-ins for profit.
4. Amazon is running a $10 bonus to be used in Amazon Game Stores for any 3 trade-ins (Exp. 5/2/09). At least $10 of the profit must be used in the game store, the rest of the profit will be added to an Amazon gift card if you send in games purchased from Best Buy. Some may not like the gift card idea, or having to use the extra $10 in the game store. Works out well for those who buy games from them though. (Thanks Franchise1)

*Only Pure (Xbox360/PS3), Infinite Discovery (Xbox360) and Soul Calibur IV (PS3) have higher trade-values than the cost at Best Buy.*
If you can’t find one of these titles and need a filler for the 3 game trade-in bonus, the best 2 I could find were Soul Calibur (Xbox360) and Bolt (Xbox360).

As of 4/23/09, Amazon trade-in value for:

Pure = $19.50 (Xbox 360) / $17.50 (PS3)
Soul Calibur 4 = $10.75 (Xbox 360 -no profit after tax, possible filler) / $13.00 (PS3)
Infinite Discovery = $14.00 (Xbox 360 only)
Disney’s Bolt(Xbox360) = $7.50 (possible filler for $10 bonus)

*Amazon may change their trade-in value soon, so you may want to print your trade-in tickets right now to get the current trade-in values! You have up to 7 days to mail the games, so you could print the ticket now, buy the games starting Sunday, then mail. Printing the ticket now also qualifies you for the $10 bonus.*
If you have the overhead and want to get in on the deal ahead of time, you can go and purchase the games now, print the trade-in ticket for those items, then get them price adjusted at Best Buy starting Sunday before mailing.

You can search for the current trade-in prices. There may be other fillers out there. Here is the link to the trade-in info.
Link to the $10 bonus details. (1 per household)

I do not see anywhere where it states you cannot trade in 3 of the same title. I did not notice a maximum amount of titles to send either, so you may be able to send 10+ copies of one game and make profit.

There are a few 3 (or more) combinations that can be put together to make a profit while getting in on the $10 bonus . The maximum profit available on 3 games would be to buy 3 copies of Pure for Xbox 360 @ $9.99 each. If you send 6 copies, you would not be eligible for another $10,bonus GC, but you would still be able to make $9.50 (minus tax) profit on each additional copy.

Cost at Best Buy (Starting 4/26/09)
Pure (Xbox360) = 3 x $9.99 + tax(varies) = less than $33.00 for most

Amazon Trade-In Value
Pure (Xbox360) = 3 x $19.50 = 58.50
+
3 Game Amazon Trade-In Promo = $10.00

($58.50 - 33.00 = $25.50 profit (Amazon GC) + $10 (Amazon GC - game store only)
Totals = $35.50 profit in Amazon gift cards.

Another combo, in case you worry about sending 3 copies of the same game.

Cost at Best Buy (Starting 4/26/09)
(Pure (Xbox360) = $9.99) + (Soul Calibur IV(PS3) = $9.99) + (Infinite Discovery(Xbox360) = $9.99) + tax =Total of Less than $33.00 for most.

Amazon Trade-In Value
(Pure (Xbox 360) = $19.50) + (Soul Calibur 4(PS3) $13.00) + (Infinite Discovery(Xbox360) = $14.00 = Total Trade-In Value of $46.50

(46.50 - 33.00 = $13.50 (Amazon GC) + $10.00 (Amazon GC - game store only)
Total Profit in Amazon Gift Cards = $23.50

Credit goes to Rumblefish.

Free Old School Computer Game. A Good One Too: C&C Red Alert.

Friday, August 29th, 2008

I used to play this game all the time: mammoth tanks are amazing. It’s truly a classic, and they’re trying to promote their new games as well. As a result, Command & Conquer: Red Alert is being released. Free.

Don’t touch the tesla coils. Might get shocked a bit:

If you go to www.redalert3.com on Sunday, you can download your very own copy of the original Red Alert, absolutely free.

If you pre-order RE3 from the site you can get a free copy of Red Alert 2, plus some extra RE3 goodies including desktop wallpapers (featuring Atkinson, McCarthy, Hu, et al) an series retrospective and an exclusive multiplayer map.

The free-for-all starts at 12:00 AM Pacific Time

Xbox 360 Pro + Controller + Blue Dragon + 3 Months Live + Free Rentals $350

Sunday, July 20th, 2008

The XBOX360 Console continues to drop in price as new promotions come out. Microsoft is trying hard to push their system out there. They’ve also partnered up now with Blockbuster to offer a package to reduce the cost for new XBOX360 owners.

The bundle includes the following:

For a limited time, save over $80 when you buy this Xbox 360 value bundle for just $349.99 (plus tax) at BLOCKBUSTER®.

Included with your Xbox 360 Value Bundle:
• Xbox 360 Pro Game System
• Xbox 360 controller
• Xbox Live Gold Membership Card
(good for 3 months)
• 4 weeks FREE** Xbox 360 rentals from BLOCKBUSTER
• Xbox game Blue Dragon

Click here to find a Blockbuster store near you.

The Live Gold membership isn’t bad, but you’re going to have to pay continuing membership on this… which is their goal. The free rentals is also great, but make sure you don’t get hooked and have to pay monthly fees on those as well after!

Board Games at 75% + 25% Off = Fun & Cheap Board Games

Tuesday, June 17th, 2008

Who would have known that Barnes and Nobles sells many board games? I didn’t! They’re not just a bookstore, but also recreational spot with Starbucks Coffee.

While Target sells games typically for about $20, you can utilize Barnes & Nobles’ clearance sale. Many games are 75% off, plus an additional 25% off using the coupon code below.

The Game of Life is one of my personal favorites. Monopoly is still #1, however.

Barnes & Noble has Board Games on clearance at 75% off. Save another 25% with code A8P8N9P. Note: Code may only be used on one item. Shipping is $3.99.

Shopping Online Saves You Big Bucks - No Gas or Tax Needed

Thursday, June 5th, 2008

When you go shopping at the retail stores B&M, you better factor in the gas costs now.

For example, it’s $4.64/gallon here in California. The mall is about 12 miles from me, and I get about 23MPG. Thus, it takes about a tank to get there and back, running me $4.64. If I want to go pick up a video game at Best buy, it’s going to run me that $4.64 to pick it up. Now let’s do some math with this deal:

Amazon has the Condemned 2: Bloodshot for $30 + NO Tax + Free Shipping + No Gas Cost.

Best Buy sells it for $50 + Tax + Gas. (Gas is now worthy of mention because it’s so expensive).

Thus, if I purchase it through Amazon from my home, I do not need to drive to the store, pay $20 more and have to pay 8% tax, nor do I have to pay gas costs, opportunity costs, and deal with traffic and annoying sales people. I love online shopping! =)
